Monday's (very late) News!

Hello. Better late than never - but I have a very good (and very exciting) excuse that I can't share yet. So what did I spend my buttons on this week. Two Die-namics die sets - the latest Blueprints (already out the package and used) and the Zipper set (yet to have a play with that). I also bought a second Smash book, hubby teased me about this as I have only completed two pages in my first book!

I have cards in two magazines that are on the shelves right now. In Papercraft Essentials I am using the free gift set.

And in Get Stamping there's a set of cards using some gorgeous floral Stampin' Up! stamps. So you know the drill - move these mags to the front of the shelves!
And last but certainly not least there are new images just released over in The DigiStamp Boutique. My favourite of the new releases is Stanley and there will be a card to share using this adorable pooch later in the week.

See you tomorrow for the Papertake Weekly Challenge.

I coloured with Copics and the papers are from the Junior Collection by Hobbycraft.

Friday 14 February 2014

the gladdest thing...

Hello. Three back to back magazine commissions nailed. Cards safely bubbled wrapped, boxed and posted off to the editor. Step by steps all typed up and emailed.

So now I can have a play. And I'm ashamed to say that I've had these Jofy stamps for ages and this is me just getting around to inking them up - but don't they make a great card.

It was when I got an email from Paperartsy yesterday to say that there were new Jofy stamps out that I remembered these ones - now I can buy the new ones guilt free!

I am entering the Butterfly Challenge - butterflies & flowers (it's a new one - check it out)

You are loved

Hello. The other day I showed you my monthly card kit from Simon Says Stamp. Well, I have made my first card using the kit. A really easy one. To be honest I was loathe to cut into all those gorgeous papers!

I stamped the sentiment onto vellum and heat embossed. I haven't used vellum for ages but a sheet came with the kit and I had forgotten how great it could look. Some die cut arrows and little sticky, shiny, round things add a finishing touch.

I am entering the love notes challenge at Simon Says.

Hello. Woohoo, my first monthly card kit arrived from Simon Says Stamp. Full of gorgeous papers, cardstock, embellies and a stamp set. I can't wait to have a play but it won't be for a few days yet as I am super busy with magazine work (I still can't believe how lucky I am).

And I gave the lollipop to hubby, well, you've got to pacify them somehow!
